Speaking of volunteers…thank you, Book Sale Workers!
We moved, you followed. Changing the location of our annual Used Book Sale from the Community Center to the American Legion on Center Street N in 2016 was challenging and successful! Would our loyal customers once again follow and support our major annual fundraiser? The answers is yes, we had great volunteers and customers all three days., Thank you!
And our volunteers stepped in, as always, sorting books, setting up and taking down tables and signage, serving as cashiers, consolidators, helpers of all sorts.
Proceeds from the sale help pay for the maintenance of HVI’s collections, mounting of exhibits, printing of HVInk and other publications and brochures, administrative costs such as stationary and postage, and insurance on the contents of the Freeman Store.
Our Friday night Historic Vienna Inc. Members Only Preview SALE was successful again with many happy customers leaving with loads of books.
The 2017 Used Book Sale location and date has not yet been determined. More to follow!
