Join Historic Vienna for the 2013 Easter Egg Roll!

The Easter Bunny and Vienna’s wonderful Department of Parks & Recreation staff will all be on hand on Saturday, March 23rd from 10:30 to 11:30 as children 12 and under and invited to Historic Vienna, Inc.’s annual Old Fashioned Easter Egg Roll.  Following the hunt, various age groups are welcome to participate in a traditional egg roll, have a photo opportunity with the Bunny or listen to a Storyteller.  This is always a delightfully happy event and very popular!

Please note that it is one hour only and starts promptly at 10:30! Be sure to arrive right on time so that your children won’t miss a minute.

The Easter Egg Roll is free and open to the public!

Celtic Arts Festival Celebrates Music, Dance, and Culture

Location: Vienna Elementary School (128 Center Street S)

This will be a delightful afternoon celebration of Celtic Music, Dance & Culture.  The event will be held at Vienna Elementary School at 128 Center Street South, Vienna VA on Saturday, March 17 from 1:00-5:00 PM.  Featuring: Vienna Choral Society, The Vienna Elementary School Jammers, Timsmith, Rich Follet, The Irish Breakfast Band, Katherine Hughes, John and William Hughes and Eammon Carolan.

Cost for admission:

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna Announces Caboose Schedule

Time: 1:00-5:00 PM
Date: July 16, August 20, September 24, October 15, and November 12
Location: Caboose #503 at Centennial Park

The Optimist Club of Greater Vienna maintains W&OD Caboose #503 at Centennial Park, across Church Street from Historic Vienna, Inc.’s headquarters, the Freeman Store and Museum.

The caboose is maintained for the benefit of children to pass on the history of the railroad and its importance to the history of Vienna–not only through the 1861 Battle of Vienna but also its role in commerce and development.

The Caboose will be open from 1:00-5:00 PM on July 16, August 20, September 24, October 15, and November 12.  For more information visit
