Pennywise Thrift Store’s 50th Anniversary!

Date: Thursday, November 3
Pennywise Thrift Store (at the corner of Mill and Church Street)

Pennywise Thrift Store, a community service project sponsored by Church of the Holy Comforter in Vienna, will celebrate its 50th anniversary on November 3.

The brainchild of now deceased church member, Lillian Croy, Pennywise accepts donations and consignment items and provides low cost clothing and household items for sale while offering a green alternative for recycling gently used items for use by others.  Pennywise income supports church and charitable programs for those in need and donates items not sold to American Rescue.

On Thursday, November 3, in celebration of this golden anniversary, all items at Pennywise will be 50% off.   Come join with the workers at Pennywise (corner of Mill and Church Street) and share this special day! You are sure to find a bargain!

Historic Vienna’s Freeman Store offers a beautiful hand-painted Christmas ornament by Rachel Peden of the Pennywise building (Bouton’s Hall 1894) for sale.
