We have received a massive amount of fine quality books and we thank you so very much for your donations. Please do not drop off any more books at the Freeman Store as we have all that we need! If you have books that you would like to donate, we hope you’ll set them aside for when we begin collecting for the next sale. Thank you!
Date: June 8 (9:00 AM-4:00 PM) and June 9 (12:00-5:00 PM)
Location: Town of Vienna Community Center
Historic Vienna, Inc. is still collecting books for our largest fund-raiser, the Annual Used Book Sale. Don’t forget to donate your gently read volumes and mark your calendar for June 8 and 9!
This year the sale will be held at the Town of Vienna Community Center on Saturday, June 8 from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM and Sunday, June 9 from 12:00-5:00 PM. Your tax-deductible donations may be brought in to the Freeman Store at any time during store hours – Wednesday through Sunday from 12:00-4:00 PM, or left on the front porch at any time.
As usual, the sale will feature a wide variety of excellent quality hardbacks and paperbacks in many categories – fiction, biography, science, history, cookbooks, gardening, the arts and many others plus the always fabulous collection of children’s books. If you have a few hours to help with sorting, please call us at (703) 938-5187 for a schedule!
Please take advantage of this opportunity to help our organization by giving us your wonderful books to sell at reasonable prices back to our community. If you have any collectable or fine quality books, those help us a great deal and are popular sale items in our Treasures Section. When dropping off books if it is necessary for you to do so when rain is in the forecast, please insure that plastic is used to protect your donations as the porch is not always a dry place. Thank you for your donations and we hope to see you at the sale. Please contact Historic Vienna if you would like to help us out.
We ask that you please refrain from leaving encyclopedias, textbooks or magazines of any kind (even if you remember the class fondly or think that the magazines are special interest) and “Reader’s Digest” type condensed books. These simply don’t sell and our volunteers must move them, sort them, move them again and, ultimately throw them away. Over the years, we have tried and tried to find homes for these types of publications but we have discovered that they just aren’t right for our book sale. You’ll help us more by choosing to donate them elsewhere!

Treasures left over from our annual used book sale are now offered for sale year-round in the Freeman Store! There are many unique books to choose from and all are reasonably priced, well below the cost of buying them online or at other used book sellers.
The sale of these books and every sale in our store helps to provide Historic Vienna the funds we need to serve our community in the best ways that we can.
If you have any book treasures to donate in advance of our annual book sale in June, please call David Shelby at (703) 938-0603 so that we can determine if they can be offered for sale in our store. Every donation to Historic Vienna is tax deductible.
As always, we thank you all for your support!
