Charles Broadwater Day

Vienna’s most notable Revolutionary era figure, Colonel Charles Broadwater, will be honored along with other locals who fought for our freedom at this special Vienna250 event.
This commemoration of Vienna’s Revolutionary people includes:

• Rose Powhatan, Indigenous Elder
• Voices from the Past: William Harbin, Farmer and Sarah Piper, Enslaved Woman

The program will also include a greeting from the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sons of the American Revolution Honor Guard, patriotic music by the Vienna Community Band and more. On-street parking is available.

Location: the Broadwater Gravesite on the corner of Tapawingo Rd and Frederick St. SW
