Explore Vienna’s rich history and revolutionary roots at Charles Broadwater Day!
Vienna’s most notable Revolutionary era figure, Colonel Charles Broadwater, will be honored for his contributions to American independence. Learn about Vienna residents of this era, watch a musket volley, and join a procession to the family cemetery for a wreath laying.
This commemoration of Vienna’s Revolutionary people includes:
- Rose Powhatan, Indigenous Elder
- Voices from the Past: William Harbin, Farmer and Sarah Piper, Enslaved Woman
The program will also include a greeting from the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Sons of the American Revolution Honor Guard, patriotic music by the Vienna Community Band and more. On-street parking is available.
